Angel Food Ministries

Council of Elders
Acts 14:23

And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord on whom they believed.

Help to ensure the spiritual growth, and physical health of members. Ensure that the spiritual needs of all members are met as it relates to prayer, healing and exhortation. The council of elders is also responsible for conducting and ensuring God ordained worship services under the leadership and direction of the Pastor.

Womens Ministry
Proverbs 31:10 31

Who can find a virtuous woman, for her worth is far above jewels.10 Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she smiles at the future. 25 Many daughters have done nobly, but she exceeds them all.29 But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised 30
Provides fellowship and training to exhort and build the inner and outer character of the women of God. The Womens ministry provides bible-based training on how to be the virtuous, victorious women God has called. Training ministries include annual Victorious Woman Conference, Annual Kings Daughter Summer Program for Young Ladies and Quarterly word-shop bible study. The Womens Ministry also leads the community outreach, intercessory prayer and health ministries. Community Outreach is dedicated to providing help to the communities need in the form of food and rainment via our food sponsorships, medical support and community celebrations; Intercessory prayer warriors meet twice weekly to pray for the needs of the church, its members and the community at large; Health Ministry is dedicated to providing biblical health education and health focused activities to increase the physical wellness of the church.

Usher Ministry
1 Corinthians 14:40

Let all things, be done decently and in order.

The mission of the Usher Board id to serve and assist the church in promoting a loving and caring atmosphere for church worship services. The Usher board strives to make all members, family and friends comfortable by meeting their needs in and orderly and proper way in all activities. They provide a greeting from God as worshippers enter the sanctuary, attend to their comfort and provide support as congregants worship, lastly they ensure that everyone thing is in place as worshippers leave the sanctuary. They minister via a ministry of helps.

Missionary Circle Ministry
Matthew 25: 34:36, 40b

Then shall the King say unto them on His right hand, Come ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world34: For I was hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in35: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me36Inasmuch as ye have done it unto the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

The mandate of the missionary circle is to identify and meet the needs of people within our congregation. The missionary circle also partners with like organizations to provide assistance to those in need around the world as a reflection of the Christians mandate. The missionary circle works in partnership with the community outreach ministry to identify and meet the needs of those within our surrounding communities as well.
 
Youth Ministry- Children of Zion
Proverbs 22:6

Train up a child in the way that he should go, and when he is old he shall not depart from it.

We are committed to teach, instruct and train our children to read the Word of God and see the will of God. We are committed to teaching them the value of a personal relationship with our heavenly Father. The youth ministry provides Godly training and growth opportunities via choir, dance, summer enrichment programs, tutoring, drama, young missionaries, usher board as well as evangelism and leadership.

Deacon Ministry
Acts 6:1-3

Wherefore brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business3 (serve tables, daily administration of church needs v1,2).

The deacon board serves the church by ensuring that the daily management of the church is in order. They minister via financial management (collection and distribution of funds), individual family needs (prayer, funeral arrangement, visiting sick and shut in), as well as minister via building and vehicle maintenance and repairs.

Mens Ministry
Psalm 131:1

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

Judges 6:12b

The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.

The Mens ministry is provides a fellowship for the brethren for strength, counsel, and training of the youth. The mens ministry leads the church quarterly prayer breakfast, the Joshuas Men - annual summer program for young boys, as well as the Annual Mens Day and Mens Conference.

Music Ministry
Psalm 150

Praise the Lord! Praise Him in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty expanse. Praise Him for His mighty deeds; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness. Praise Him with the trumpet sound; Praise Him with harp and lyre. Praise Him with timbrel and dancing; Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe. Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!

The Music Ministry ushers in the presence of God during worship services and charges the atmosphere with praise and worship. The Music ministry has various components including musicians, youth choir, CD Voices of Praise, as well as the ensemble choir, all who lift voice and instrument in song to worship the Lord our God.

Pastors Aide Ministry
1 Timothy 5:17-18

Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.17 For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And the labourer is worthy of his reward. 18

The Pastors Aide ministry is dedicated to a ministry of helps directly to the Pastor. They ensure that the Pastors and visiting ministers needs are met as it relates to refreshments, laundry, etc. The ministry is designed to ensure the Pastor receives double honour and to ensure that he has as much time as needed to labour in the word and doctrine.

Hospitality/Kitchen Ministry
1 Peter 4:9

Use hospitality one to another without gruding9

The hospitality ministry is ministry of helps, that provides service to church visitors and the congregation by welcoming every into the house of God. They are also responsible for preparing food and drink, setup and cleanup of kitchen, when we gather and break bread together. The Kitchen ministry provides service during all special events, and at request for weddings and funerals. The gifts and the talents of the hospitality committee are endless a little bit of Gods love goes into everything they do.
 
Education Ministry
2 Timothy 2:15

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Proverbs 4:7
Wisdom is the principle thing; therefore get wisdom: and in all thy getting get understanding.

The education ministry focuses on providing education to the men, women and children of God as it relates to foundational bible teaching, advanced bible study, ministerial gift development, biblical financial management, business and career management, youth tutoring and mentoring, youth gift/talent development, as well as training for family development, single parenting, and personal evangelism. The education ministry is also responsible for the Louise Alexander Scholarship Fund.
